Manning Not Guilty
of Aiding Enemy
US military court martial on Tuesday found Bradley Manning not guilty on a lock-up-for-life charge of aiding the enemy by leaking hundreds of thousands of classified documents to WikiLeaks. It was a significant legal win, but a pyrrhic victory in terms of Manning's fate.
Despite the lack of any evidence that he intended any harm to the US, Manning faces decades in prison.
Sitting in a high security court at a sprawling US military base, Judge Colonel Denise Lind, convicted the 25-year-old soldier on five charges of espionage, five of theft, one of computer fraud and a series of other military wrong-doings – verdicts on which he collectively faces up to 136 years in jail.

And, so who is Bradley Manning? Well astrologically, he's a Sagittarian Sun, a fire sign.. Like Jim Morrison from The Doors, but he doesn't appear like that on the outside. So his Ascendant or Rising Sign, or the ordinary everyday face we show to the world must be slightly different, or normally more introverted..
Bradley Edward Manning, born December 17, 1987, is a United States Army soldier who was arrested in May 2010 in Iraq on suspicion of having passed classified material to the website WikiLeaks. He was ultimately charged with 22 offenses, including communicating national defense information to an unauthorized source and aiding the enemy. He was convicted in July 2013 of 17 of the 22 charges, including several violations of the Espionage Act, but acquitted of aiding the enemy, the most serious charge.
Assigned to an army unit based near Baghdad, Manning had access to databases used by the United States government to transmit classified information. He was arrested after Adrian Lamo, a computer hacker, told the FBI that Manning had confided during online chats that he had downloaded material from these databases and passed it to WikiLeaks. The material included videos of the July 12, 2007 Baghdad airstrike and the 2009 Granai airstrike in Afghanistan; 250,000 United States diplomatic cables; and 500,000 army reports that came to be known as the Iraq War logs and Afghan War logs. It was the largest set of restricted documents ever leaked to the public. Much of it was published by WikiLeaks or its media partners between April and November 2010.
Starting in July 2010 Manning was held at the Marine Corps Brig, Quantico, Virginia, under Prevention of Injury status, which entailed de facto solitary confinement and other restrictions that caused international concern. In April 2011 he was transferred to Fort Leavenworth, where he could interact with other detainees. He pleaded guilty in February 2013 to 10 of the 22 charges. The trial on the remaining charges began on June 3, 2013. He was found guilty on July 30 of 17 charges. The trial has now moved to the sentencing phase.
Reaction to Manning's arrest and disclosures was mixed. Denver Nicks, one of Manning's biographers, writes that the leaked material, particularly the diplomatic cables, was widely seen as a catalyst for the Arab Spring that began in December 2010, and that Manning was viewed as both a 21st-century Tiananmen Square Tank Man and an embittered traitor. Several commentators focused on why an apparently very unhappy Army private had access to classified material, and why security measures did not prevent his unauthorized downloading.
While here is his birth chart, using a midday or noon chart.. And, its a fairly "intense" chart to say the least, with the Scorpio Moon conjunct Mars-Pluto in Scorpio!!! Pluto is the modern ruler of the sign of Scorpio, & Mars is also the old or traditional ruler of the sign of the Scorpion. Yes, a seemingly 'mild mannered' appearance on the outside hides a deep Scorpionic nature.. ie. to penetrate to the bottom of all hidden things.. While his natal Sagittarian Sun is also almost exactly aligned with the fixed Star Aceulus, in the Sting in the Tail of the Scorpion, relating to the principle of Constructive Criticism.. It relates to the concept of "inner strengthening in the forge of criticism"..

In the 3rd house/Gemini we begin to communicate verbally, to explore the environment, relate to it, take it apart & attempt to understand it. Our ability to reflect & think begins here; we look at details & associate them with our own reactions in a personal & subjective way; we begin to differentiate outer from inner. This house is also associated with siblings, the Twins of Gemini, short journeys, with reading & writing, learning, speaking & problem solving.
With Chiron in Gemini or the 3rd house, we might feel our mind to be wounded, unreliable, in danger of disintegrating, or subject to storms of incomprehensible activity. We may indiscriminately absorb ideas from everywhere in the scramble to understand what is happening.
